Transcription of PSD to HTML 5.1) Final Thoughts
come a long way since we started this series and we’ve created a website fromhello and welcome back to the PSD to HTML responsive portfolio build we’vecome a long way since we started this series and we’ve created a website from scratch using these designs that were created in an earlier video course so we have our large version and are small version we completely reorder to restructure the content as we resize the browser and now we’re able to say that we are responsive design masters and as we resizer browser here we can see that things change shape they shift around as we jump towards the bottom we can see our backgrounds shifting we can see your columns collapsing and and we were able to do this all using HTML CSS and just a little bit of jQuery to create our own little animated menu once we get down to the smaller size so I hope you’ve learned a lot from this series not just about how to create this specific design but how to think through your designs as your building them and how to create responsive designs as you read about responsive design you’ll see a lot of suggestions about where to create your break points how many media queries to use and things like that but often it just comes down to what your content demands sometimes your content might not need all the responsive break points that everyone is suggesting but what you want to do is you wanna look at those different break points because people have come up with his break points for a reason they’re break points for a tablet sized browser in landscape and portrait there are break points for different cell phone sizes for smartphones sizes and you want to make sure that your site looks good at all sizes and again that really comes down to what your content demands and this particular site we were able to get away with only using two media queries but we were able to do a lot using those two query so again hope you’ve learned a lot from this and I hope you find some creative ways to apply what we’ve learned here to your own work to gain hope you’ve enjoyed this series my name is craig Campbell and I’ll see you next time thanks for watching
